Starting to lose hope... bah, i'll see Radiohead some other time.

Tickets are out, so yeah, you've missed it :p

Someone commented at me "Reading has been going downhill ever since Iron Maiden played back when"

But that sort of music is outdated. Not to say it isn't good, i like it, but reading festival is about the current genres of music!

well if you have not seen them live before - placebo and The Prodigy are fantastic live - two bands not to miss

The Prodigy especially. I know the last couple of CDs were lame - I was a Jilted generation person, I was a bit late for the "experience" stuff. Their latest CD is a definite return to form.

Not doing reading/leeds, but a pal`s asked if I fancy guilfest for a laugh as it`s only up the road.

My youngest is on tenterhooks---------apparently there are no tickets on the door so her mates have been queueing outside the local HMV for most of the day----Thank heavens for that.I am still recovering from the pressure of the internet purchase with "MY" credit card and the inevitable site crash two years ago. That resulted in an exhorbitant ebay purchase aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggghhhh !
Life was so much simpler in my day.

Got my tickets at lunchtime, I have a friend ;)

Nearly didn't bother after the stupidity last year with the 'angry mob'. I'll be leaving Sunday to avoid that this year.

I've got ATP and Bestival paid for as well so I can enjoy a proper festival atmosphere and not have to worry about Tarquin having a bad experience on his first pill and dragging tents onto bonfires.

I went to the best ever Reading lineup in 97 and never since then have they had a lineup to compare. I find festivals tend to have a handful of bands I'd like to see and then the rest are bands the bank of England couldn't print enough money to pay me to see. I mean Fall Out Boy? Seriously, are they on the wind up? How can Fall Out Boy and the Deftones possibly even share the same toilets never mind stage?

97 was the only year I have been to Reading. Brill line up on the Sunday.
Was in Stutgart on the Saturday and Hasalt in Belgium on the Friday. 3 gigs across 3 days in 3 countries. Was a bit knckered on the Monday, slept all the way up to Newcastle for the Tattoo show at the Mayfair!!! I don't remember Tuesday at all!!!!!

A lot of people who go to reading/leeds like Fall Out Boy. I find that recently reading/leeds mostly reflect current popular rock/indie/alt music. Which I don't have a problem with but I know a lot of people do :)

Enter Shikari & Funeral for A Friend would be awesome. Friendly Fires I have seen twice this year, and are excellent. White Lies are crap live, and Glasvegas were a real letdown when I went to see them. Florence & The Machine is cool, make sure you see her!

Not sure about Enter Shikari on a big stage. Every shikari gig I've been to has been in placed like Astoria. Amazing small venues so they can really involve themselves with the crowd.

I've seen Friendly Fires twice this year, too. Once when supporting 'Crystal Castles' and a second time on their own.
