Hi all,

I am wanting to buy a studo kit and have looked at several types so far. I am in a position where I cannot decide whether to go for a Interfit stellar 300 (3 head) or the Lastolite lumen8 (with a third free head). With the lumen8 kit, would it be possible to set the third head by buying a stand and a snoot? Also, which kit would be better in quality of result? I need the kit for couple potraits. Would there be any other kit out there that would be better for my suited needs that I may have overlooked?

Would appreciate any advice on this.

Many thanks

I know very little about studio kits... other than the fact i've just won one and am looking to sell it to invest in some glass.

It's the Lastolite Lumen8 F400 two head kit, arrived this morning and is currently still packaged and blocking the hallway. Can't post on the for sale board but will be going on ebay in the next couple of days. If you, or anyone else is interested, PM me with an offer.

Have you checked out the lencarta kit via ebay - there is a chap on here Garry Edwards who is the admin of another forum and a well respected Pro Photographer who did the sales videos for their website.

I've been looking at sets and I have to say that their 3 head kits do look like very good value. IMO worth a look.

Hi I like Bowens ,ultra reliable ,robust and very controlable lighting with loads of light modifiers.

Another Bowen's fan here, great gear.

Rob.
