I have a Canon SLR 400D and want to take some closer shots than my standard lens will allow. The Raynox DCR-150 sounds good - and a lot cheaper than the alternatives eg macro lens or Canon extension tubes.
My query is - is there an issue with putting additional weight on the end of my Tamron 17-50mm lens? One site suggested that the weight could mess up the internal mechanisms of the lens.
Also any other comments would be welcome.

Thanks

Geoff

The raynox is not very heavy at all, I don't think you will have any problems at all with weight doing anything to the internal mechanisms.

It will be fine, people reverse lenses on to lenses without problem and like Susie says the raynox is pretty light.

I have the DCR-250, its light as anything. I doubt it'll do any damage to your lens.

Its a damn handy tool to have aswell for macro work, you can get some impressive close ups with them.
