I have a canon eos 400 with a Canon 17-85mm is lens and would like to take some macro type shots.

I have used the search button and found the Raynox DCR-250 and just wanted someone who has used it on a set up like mine to confirm its a good option (or not).

thanks.

It will work fine, especially at the longer end of the zoom

Yes it will work well. I have a Raynox DCR-250 on my 14-45 and it is perfect!

Thanks for the replies :)

I have now ordered a RAYNOX DCR-250 from Amazon for £38.50 delivered.

Look out bugs, I'm coming to get you

Hi - I have the same setup as you and I was about to purchase the raynox.

Are you happy with the results?

Cheers

Hi, Yes I am if you look at the link below you will see some pictures I shot of a watch, the first is with the 17-85mm and had a large circular black frame which I photoshoped out and the next two were with the 75-300mm and are not played with at all.
So all in all I think the 75-300mm is better suited but I may have been doing something wrong with the 17-85mm :)
