RAW previewer?

Since i've started shooting exclusively in RAW, i've had to use photoshop to process everything just to even see how the pictures have come out

Is there a previewer type thing available for Vista, which would enable me to see the RAWs as thumbnails like you can with jpg's?

It might be a big ask, but it's worth a try!

I've searched around, but can only find an XP one on the Micro$oft website :shrug:

The canon raw codec will give you the thumbnails view in explorer

You just need the Nikon raw codec for vista and then you can see thumbnails and use the windows viewer.

I used to use http://www.arcsoft.com/products/Rawviewer/, I don't know if it's Win 7 compatible, but it enabled raw file thumbnail view in windows explorer

Yes - just go into the menu and select.

Yes - It's just a pain in the a*** filling up the space when there's a codec or something available.

You can't preview a RAW file. What you are seeing in the thumbnail is a small jpeg which is embedded with the RAW!

I got it yesterday. Works a treat. Instead of the RAW files being shown as icons they show as thumbnails.
Download is more straightforward if you use IE.

I used to have my camera set to produce RAW + jpeg so I new what was in the .NEF file.
Just shoot RAW now.

I actually bought Fast Picture Viewer because it's so quick and easy.

Would definitely recommend trying it.
