hi everyone, a very quick question... sorry, don't have the camera with me, so can't test!

if you use the RAW+JPEG file setting on the camera, when you download from camera>PC, do you literally get one folder/list of NEF files and one folder/list of JPEGs?
 
no, they're all in the same folder. You can of course just sort by type in windows/finder to separate the files.
 
They normally just download into the same Nikon transfer folder

aha... so you get one bunch of NEF files, and a duplicate bunch (but JPEGs) in the same folder..?
 
Yep the JPEGs normally have the same number but have an underscore
