RAW from D80 unsupported?

It's a bit wierd - RAWShooter Premium can't open them, Nikon Capture can't open them, and PhotoshopCS2 can't open them (and all are fully updated)

What am I missing?
 
The only thing I could think of ... is that perhaps you have not followed the download and location instructions to the letter ... :thinking:

It is fairly critical in Photoshop ... but I don't know the other two I have to admit ... just assume they may be similar ... :shrug:

Worth double-checking the process RDD ... :D

Just re-done the latest CameraRAW from Adobe, to the letter, and it's still borked..... I'll keep trying :)

Nope :( It doesn't.

Lightroom can open it, and I can get it in CameraRAW through Adobe Bridge as well, but Photoshop just throws up an error.
 
Photoshop CS2 opens RAW files from my D50 without bother. Have you tried taking new shots? Maybe the files on your card became corrupt or something?

It opens my D50 RAW files fine as well (just upgraded :)) Like I said, they open fine in Lightroom and Bridge, but nowhere else.....
 
i found installing nikon capture and letting it be the default application stuffs up photoshop opening RAWs in camera raw. you can change it all back, but i can't remember how.
 
I have similar problems with my D80, I have Adobe 7. but have to download into pictureproject that came with the camera then save in Jpeg before I can open them in Adobe 7. is there a free plug in I can download anywhere so I can download straight to adobe 7 and work them in raw format
 
I'm able to open D80 RAW in Photoshop 2 and Nikon Capture NX.

I did have afew prob's with NX to start with as I brought a flea bay version which turned out to be a non European edition but got it working by down loading the English trial version from Nikon and validating it with my product code number. Have you rung any of the technical supports? I ended up ringing Nikon and although the chap on the phone was rubbish I also emailed their technical support and got the answer emailed back within acouple of days - might be worth a shot? :shrug:

Not that its much help but never had a problem with CS2?
