Depends on if you want to spend money or not, and how much effort you want to put into it. :shrug:

If you look at the top of the page, there is a list of different editing programs, both paid for and free.

As you have CS3 you have a RAW converter as part of that program with the Adobe Camera Raw plug in. It will not work as is, with the D7000 files, (as you can see again at the top of the page ;)) if that is what you want to use it with, though you have the option to convert the D7000 RAW files into the Adobe DNG format if you want to use the ACR plug in you already have.

Generally if you don't want to upgrade your CS3 to CS6, which would give you the most up to date version of ACR which will work with any camera, most people will advise getting Adobe LightRoom. But there are free options available. :shrug:

Hmmm well i guess i could update to cs6 but im afraid money isnt an option right now. When i installed it it it didnt appear from what i could tell that it had a raw converter...am i able to download the driver for it?

You need CS5 to support the D7000 (see sticky at the top of the page).

You can download Adobes free DNG converter and use that. Your flow would then be

Camera -> DNG converter -> CS3

If you click on a RAW file it will say some like it can't read the or recognise the format or something, if you open Adobe Bridge and then highlight a Jpeg, and then click the circular 'Open in Camera Raw' button, you should be able to see if ACR is working properly.

As I said previously, you can either use one of the free RAW processing programs, or convert all your RAW files to DNG files to use with the ACR version you already have, should it be working. ;)
