rare lenticular clouds in Leeds

Those really are quite cool, but I've suggested that this be moved to talk seconds rather than critique unless I'm mistaken and this is your own work

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year summer

I was surprised to see that on a UK photography forum with 42K members NOBODY has posted a shot of their own of the clouds.

As above the wind turbine shot is excellent.

Clouds my bum.

I know a mother ship when I see one. Point a camera at that, and you're toast. The Lizzards release a few carefully Photoshopped images to fool people. But I'm no fool.

Actually, these clouds aren't so rare. I'm also a glider pilot and have countless hours flying up the front of these beauties. In Yorkshire, there are useful (ie not overcast or blowing a hoolie) waves many times a year. They're more unusual the further south you go as the hills that trigger them fizzle out. Have to say, they're even more spectacular from 30,000ft but I'm usually too busy flying to brandish the camera! Might try to scan in some old film shots one day.
