Was meant to have a new lens delivered today, and although being at home had the missed delivery card in the letterbox saying to wait 48 hours before having to do the 3mile round trip walk to pick it up myself! To make it worse I have to do this before it closes at 12 - hard to do with mornings full of lectures.
Wouldn't be so annoyed had I not been home to sign for it, but failing that we do have a reception (uni halls) who they usually get to sign for any items.
not very impressed with this postman!
edit: hopefully re-organising delivery for monday with a sign on the letterbox stating to leave with reception will give them the idea - as then i probably won't be home

As far as I am aware most sorting/delivery offices have an Annexe which stays open till around 6pm and gone. Maths was never my strong point but walking a 3 mile trip if you were reasonbly fit would take about 30min each way. Hardly time consuming, take your camera with you and go pick up lens. Attach said lens on camera, walk back and click away
