Morning all is it just me or has Nikon started slipping in the quality of there packages?

I've got 4 Nikon lenses and the latest 2 have came in cheap thin Nikon boxes and the others in a thicker more sturdy Nikon box!

Hope that's nikons way of not having to cut back on lens quality

Let me guess - the 16-85 and the 70-300 were in the thicker boxes?

Nope wrong way round the 35 and 55-300 were in the thicker boxes :|

Whoa, that's interesting! The 70-300 is an FX lens, and the 16-85 is one of Nikon's high-end DX lenses.
Maybe the thicker boxes are actually cheaper?
