So with the weather starting to take a turn in many places (which I know can be an advantage to us as well). I was wondering what ideas people have for rainy days, be in indoors or using the weather to your advantage.

Thought it might be an idea to share with others :)

Me personally I like playing with smoke from insense sticks and having a go at some still life as well.

Hi Martyn, what about splash photography on the kitchen table. Have had lots of fun and some pretty good results. Once tied a small plastic bag full of water with a small hole in one corner from the smoke alarm and let it splash into a small tray, use off camera flash and turn your white balance to tungstone for some unusual results. DON'T FORGET THE TOWEL, YOU WILL NEED IT.

You will find a lot of indoor stuff in the creative section  HERE

Still Life - Light Painting
Water Drops
Smoke Art
Sound/Paint Art

To list but a small number of the recent things that have been seen in the creative section that can be done indoors with little to no expense

Althought to quote the words of a photographer friend when I was conversing with him on facebook "If I didn't take my camera out in the rain, I'd never take any photo's"

All those sounds great ideas. Pretty much what I do at the minute to be honest. I might have a play around this weekend with some, the weather looks pretty horrible.

Last time I visited an old school friend, I 'borrowed' some of her sons Lego for one of my rainy day projects. Got some time off shortly so looking forward to being a big kid again

Also need to have another go at the water drops.

I think I am going to have a shot with smarties, m&ms and whatever else I can think of lying on a mirror. You know put your backdrop up behind it to give it a cool look.

Haha. Although that's what I would like to do, I am probably going to spend the weekend making prints for different Christmas presents. Oh no, actually I will probably be doing home work:bang:
