Is it possible to get rain covers for my camera for when i end up having to take photographs in the rain?

Yep, there's several, ranging from £4.95 for a pair to £100 for one which will cover both camera and long prime lenses from 300mm to 600mm.

Optech are the cheapest and Think Tank are the most expensive.

Wildlife Watching Supplies also make one, as do Kata as well...I'll update this post to include links if I can find them.

Welcome to the forum by the way! :)

Yes, plenty on ebay.

They can be a wee bit tricky to fit at the eyepiece in my experience.

I use an old plastic bag with the corner cut off for the lens to protrude.A strong elastic band secures bag to lens.Works for me.

Really depends what you want to spend, you could as suggested in a previous thread, do abit of DIY sowing and modify an old pair of waterproof trousers, thats the cheapest method. Black bag another idea for little $$, then there are these plastic covers from the States, 2 for about £6 Rainsleeve from Op/Tech USA, check ebay or warehouseexpress, there also Storm Jacket......I bought mine from wildlifewatchingsupplies and have been very pleased with the purchase. EOS magazine also sells covers and have a look at the warehouse link, it will give you and idea on type and price
