Rain Cover for Canon R6

Personally I wouldn't bother.
The R6 is pretty well weather sealed as is the 100-500

Both should easily withstand rain.

I bought a rain cover once. I think it's still in a box somewhere in the loft.

I've used a rain cape once or twice, cheap and small enough to forget in the bag. Mostly I do what we used to do on the paper, a towel over the camera, it takes ages to get soaked through then just wring it out and start again. No problems with a half decently sealed camera as well.

Have a look at the Think tank emergency rain cover. For the price they are excellent. Quite similar to the more expensive think tank rain cover but don’t have the hand sleeves, though it’s easy to operate via your hands through the single bottom opening.

I’ve got a R6 and 100-500 so I can see how it fits the small and medium think tank emergency rain covers I’ve got.

I used a ThinkTank raincover - different model from these - when we were in Iceland in a howling gale and horizontal rain. Worked a treat. ThinkTank stuff is top notch.

I use a plastic bag with an elastic-band to hold it in place on the lens hood.
