I've doing a lot of reading here and elsewhere today to understand what it is best I need, I have a set of D-lite 2 and a pair of sb700's, I want to be able to trigger either of them with my d750. I have looked a various brands and from I see the YongNuo YN-622N seem to be the best but in order to get started, do I need the YongNuo YN-622N tx also?

Here are a few other I looked at and wondering if anyone else has used them or any thought on what they may be like.

I have the Canon versions, the YN622C and YN622C TX. I can mount the Transceiver (YN 622C) or the Transmitter (TX) onto my camera. The only difference is in the method of controlling the settings. With a transceiver, settings are made via the camera menus, with the TX mounted, control is direct on the TX itself and much easier and quicker than delving into the menus. The TX does not have a flash through mount on it, if a flash is needed on the camera, a transceiver must be mounted instead. I suspect that the Nikon versions will work in a very similar way, but there are plenty of quides and reviews of the YN622N versions on Youtube. Overall, these are very reliable and flexible remotes for not a lot of money.

What Harvey said.

I was an early adopter, and using a 622 on camera with no interface wasn't much fun, doable, but slowed me down. The tx is brilliant.

I wouldn't dream of going cheaper than the 622's.
