I only just found this out, very sad, he seemed to be enjoying what he was doing, up until recently his channel was pretty active and he was reviewing the latest gear as ever. Many of you may know of him from his youtube channel 'Artoftheimage' - I used to watch him a lot when deciding on new gear.

He took his own life on Nov 17th.

Peter Gregg has a tribute video up, where he also discusses suicide and offers some advice about it. It's something I prefer not to go into detail on myself, we all have out own views about it, end of the day, the man is gone and his family are left behind to deal with the grief. Just thought I'd share as it was a bit of a shock to me and only for Peter's video I'd still be non the wiser.

Very sad..2 kids too.
A good friend of mine did the same a few months back and left behind his 9 year old daughter.
So many emotions run through your head and the questions as to how they could do it, but, no one knows what they were going through.

Sorry to hear about your friend, I've lost people to it too over the years, very tragic, you always feel like there's something you could or should have done. There's nothing, there's no words, no actions that you could have taken to prevent it. Depression is a silent killer [it is often assumed that this is the main reason] There's been a number of suicides in my town over the past 4 weeks alone [5 to be precise, which is unusually high even for this time of year, in such a small town] all male, all in their late 30's to early 40's, all married with children. Nobody can explain why any of them did it, and sadly they can never answer that question for their families either.
