Quick question – is it worth buying

A) 50mm 1.4 USM and the 24mm- 105mm L series lens
B) Or the 24mm-70mm L series by itself?

Both options work out to cost around the same….
 
Well I have A) not saying its the best choice as I've never owned or used the 24-70.

I tend to use the 24-105 as my walkaround but I wouldn't be without the 50mm 1.4 for its shallow DoF, speed and bokeh.

So in my bag both get used and I love them both

Bear in mind the 24-70 f2.8 is likely to be replaced later this year.
 
Blackbird, is yours the 50m L series or the one that costs a grand less :P
 
Wow, I didn't realise it was likely to being replaced!

Also, would (A) be acceptable for weddings with a 70mm - 200mm L lens in there as well?
