Quick question on Tom Tom satnavs

Never owned a Satnav before hence what some might think a daft question.

As well as using in car, can I remove it from the car and use it on foot (providing battery is charged) after parking the car, ie in city centres.
Or is using it on foot restricted to certain models?

Hoping to go out and buy one today

Yes - most of the new TomToms have a built in 'walk' feature, so that you can remove it from the car, and it gets you to your destination ignoring things like one way streets.... so you take the quickest route.

...,and also have an option that will get you back to where you left your car - assuming that your car can see the sky.
