Quick Question on square system polarisers

Hi all, quick question please. I am building a 100mm Square filter system using both Lee and Formatt Hitech filters and holders to improve my Landscape photography, and whilst none of them are particularly cheap, they aren't too bad. However the 105mm polarisers from both Lee and Formatt Hitech are really expensive at around a couple of hundred pounds etc.

Is there a cheaper way to get a polariser for these systems (i.e. will any 105mm circular polariser fit into the respective holders), or can I even use my existing Hoya Pro 77mm polariser screwed onto the lens with the filter holder screwed onto that ? Although thinking about the latter it might be problematic having both the modular filter holder and polariser both rotating, and this would mean the modular holder would stick out slightly further and possible cause vignetting ?

Second question, anyone know if using the 100mm filters from Lee or Formatt Hitech (with either holder), will allow me to use my Nikon 16-35 F4 VR on my full frame D750 or D810, at 16mm without vignetting, or would I need to consider and even wider system ?

As said somewhere else, I was asked to test the STEALTH GEAR filter system.
I you are willing to small compromises, the prices are surprisingly affordable.
And they have all three sizes (P, Z, & Wide) complete line up!

The 100mm system on the Nikon 16-35 is fine at 16mm, as I do it alot. There might be a little bit of vignette to remove in PP, but nothing you won't be able to deal with.

Stu, thanks for confirming that the 100mm system is fine on the 16-35 on full frame (exactly what I wanted to hear). I guess BTW that's with the Lee wide angle mounting ring attached to the holder ?
 
OK, think I will buy in to the Lee system, but can any one tell me which is the best Polariser to get from Lee for the 100mm system

They do a standard 105mm Circular Polariser for around £200 and a Landscape Polariser for around £170, which seems to give a purposeful warm cast. Has anyone used one of the Landscape Polarisers and can comment please ?
 
I got the 105mm landscape polarizer just a week ago and have only used it a couple of times so far. It's a delight to use as I previously had a 77mm screw in polarizer before and then the Lee filter holder mounted onto this, was a bit of a pain rotating it. The only couple of shots online I can show you are the first 3 here on my photo stream and they aren't really great examples of using it, i had it rotated to increase reflections on the lake as much as I could. https://flic.kr/p/yZbEth
 
Hi Andrew it might be worth checking out the Heliopan filters from Teamwork these are excellent quality are are slightly cheaper than Lee
I used mine on a Nikon 16-35 lens on a D800 using a Lee wide angle adaptor with just one slot and got no vignetting, I'm now using the same setup on a Fuji 10-24 again with no problems.
 
If you can't stretch to a 105mm polariser, the Lee square 100mm polariser is a perfectly workable alternative, at about half the price. Just look through the polariser, turn in 90 degree steps to achieve desired effect and place in the filter slot. I've used this setup and found that the 90 degree rotations are enough for most situations.

I believe using a third slot on the filter holder can produce some vignetting with some lenses, but it'd be easy enough to test this before buying the polariser.

Great review and very handy for me Justin, thank you. Im looking for a kit for my sigma 10-20 (its 82mm thread) this really does seem to be just the job for me
