Quick question on Lens hood+UV Filter..

I am buying a UV filter for protection and a lens hood. My question is can these be used together at the same time or will only one fit on the lens at one time?

The hood is a bayonet fitting so yes you can leave the filter Iball the time and use both with no problems.

I agree.

UV filters were useful on film cameras but not really on digital. Can also have quite an effect on image quality.

I see this been said on quite a few forums and threads but i use the filter simply to protect from original glass being damaged and if my photography ever progresses to the point where the image quality is so important and is suffering due to the filter i will stop using it.
