Yes
I haven't done a whole lot of developing at anything other than 'standard' times but if I use Rodinal @ 1+50 and the recommended time for 35mm Tri-X rated at 1600 is 18.5 minutes and a roll of 120 HP5+ rated at its 400 box speed it suggests a time of 11 minutes at the same dilution and temp, would I be pushing my luck trying to process in the same tank by taking some sort of average and maybe increasing the dilution to 1+100 and doing a stand dev?

Just to point out the 120 HP5+ is just a test roll and the Tri-X is somewhat more important.

I wouldn't risk it if its something important. Although I'm sure you can do them together at 1+100 for an hours stand.

Hopefully someone with more experience than me will pop in though :)

Pushing your luck IMO

I kinda thought so but was worth running by you good folk in f&c. I think I'll err on the cautious side and dev separately.

Thanks guys :D

That difference it too too much.

Development does not just darken the film ,It changes the contrast of the negative.
So the one would be under developed and very soft, and the other over developed and excessively contrasty.

Agree with the others Nick, it's a bit risky to take an average between the two.

To play around experimenting then yes, I'd suggest giving it a go but not for "important" shots.....at least not until I was sure it could work!

As for semi stand 1:100 solution for an hour in the same tank:
I devd roll of Rollei RPX and a roll of Ilford Pan F this way only last week simply cos I couldn't be a***d doing them seperatley....They have come out ok.
