Yes
For Christmas i am getting a tripod / head and i was planning on getting it today. I was just going to get a Red Snapper tripod and head, but then i had a look on Warehouse Express and saw some others.

Camera wise i have a D3000 and my biggest lens at the moment is a 55 - 200 mm. I prefer shooting landscapes and close-up shots (i.e hover flys on flowers, etc).

So my question is if you had £100 to spend which one of the three tripods below would you buy?

One of the problems with the ones from warehouse is that they dont come with a strap or a bag, is this important?

Thanks for the help

Jon

I have found my redsnapper to be excellent & i am more than happy with it,s support,a bag with a strap is very handy if you need to trek anywhere with it.:)

the Goittos MH5011 is a lightweight head - i got the 5001 off here - FAR better

Nikon D5000 + Sigma 17-70 f2.8 [heavy] + grip + 2 batterys = no prob

I would go for used Manfrotto tripod from ffordes
and a new MH5001 from eBay at £36

or

the RedSnapper - which has a reversible centre column i think - for flowers..?

I have a Manfrotto 190xproB with a 484rc2 head. It is a solid tripod and the centre column can easily be reversed for macro work. I am very happy with mine.

It supported the D700/D200/S5 pro with grip and 24-70 easily, even when I have the SB800 mounted also, so you have scope if you get heavier kit in the future. From memory the whole kit was about £120.

Oh choices, choices

Thanks for the comments think i'll get the Red Snapper one.....
