Hello everyone,
This may seem a dumb question, but i really don't know anybody to ask and definitively asking a sales person won't be rigth. :)

I have a canon power shot S5is for about a week now, I've taken a couple of pictures with it and i think they are way much better than my old sony dsc-p32 :p, but there are a couple of things that when i was testing (at the local store) a canon 30d it felt way to different although i didn't take a picture , just the feel of the camera and the viewfinder was totally great for me. I also tested the xti and it was also great.
I wont like to say the s5 is not a great cam for me since i took pictures only on family trips and reunions, stuff like that, i also don't know nothing about lenses or other stuff, so i decided to go with the s5 because it was "easier" for me.
But i have a pentax k100 with 3 lenses and the fell of being able to focus with that cam (lens) it's great. And now i think it's easier to focus on like the 30 or 400d
So what i'm asking is, if i upgrade to a 400d (xti) for a guy who takes pictures like me, not that often will it be worthwhile ? to spend that kind of money ? also lenses?
And don't know ... maybe other things?:'(

thanx in advance

I am like you but I would say get the camera you feel best with but be warned if you upgrade you stand the chance of getting the bug and will take more and more photos then you will want more and more equipment as you progress and learn more about photography
Bob

i think you are right in that too
I'm going to try to think in another thing... :bang: and just because i don't have the money.... let's see if i don't loose interest in taking pictures , if that's the case i think i'll go with that , i'm going to try to wait for at least 3 to 6 months

thanx bob. which cam do you have anyways?
