Hi guys,

I have a laptop that was supplied with Windows 10. I took the opportunity to upgrade it to Windows 11.

If I use the built in 'RESTORE' feature I assume it will once again be a Windows 10 Laptop ! Am I correct ?

Thanks

Yes, the recovery partition has the image loaded on it. So you can revert back to exactly the same configuration as when you bought it from the store.

Thanks Simon, that's a b****r isn't it ? Would Microsoft pick the reverse to Windows 10 and offer 11 again ?

I would imagine so, but wouldn’t guarantee it. Maybe check on win10 /11 forums to see if anyone else is having similar issues

Thanks for your help Simon.

Actually, once you switch to Win 11 you have a set amount of time to go back, after that you have 11 for good, even a PC reset wont take the machine back.
Only if you are desperate to go back they will let you, like your machine doesn't function correctly

Its all here
