Question about zoom

how much more zoom would i get between a 400mm and a 600mm

please can someone take a picture of something at both of these lengths and post them here for me.

I cant decide weather to get the Sigma 300mm F2.8 or the Canon 70-200 F2.8 IS

Any ideas?

How about the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 for something like half the price of the Canon?

Are you thinking of sticking a 2x TC on those lenses? The Sigma 300mm will take a 2x TC quite well, but I don't think the Canon zoom will.
