Question about stacking sunrise images

I got up early and took a load of sunrise shots, I was bracketing 7 images at a time. My question is, do I stack them as is? Or process the images before putting them through photoshop?

I usually stack first the PP the result. PS seems to deal with blending them unprocessed. Don't know if that is the correct way or not.

You should not pre-process or you may confuse the blending software.
