to save a double post i'll ask a question and add a little tale of woe..
first the question - i got my new 055xb with head & strap kit, the strap (manfrotto 102?) came with a screw-in hook which the instruction shows screws into the side of the head/top of legs onto which the strap hooks on.. i cant see where this fixes to the head or legs - am i missing something or is this just for use on other models?
there was a thread recently about common mistakes to make, i couldnt find it, but one for me at the weekend was to go out on a shoot, wonder why i struggeled to make exposure in good light kept over exposing to find later i had set ISO to Hi2 .. something magic above 1600 durrr
then today got my new tripod fixed camera to the quick release plate and clipped it to the head, tried to take it off not actually sure what i thought i was holding, but camera toppled forward and almost dropped expensive new camera! - have now practiced removing camera at a safe height above the sofa- must keep hold of camera before releasing plate!! - that was a scary moment...
