I have just received the Joe Mcnally softbox. I went for this one because it includes the brackets so worked out slightly cheaper than buying the box and brackets. Anyway when assembling I noticed the difference in colour between the inner and outer diffuser. White and cream almost. All the pictures I have found the outer diffuser doesn't look off white. Is this normal? Here's a picture of the differences...

Here's the only pic I could find of the Mcnally Softbox on the net that has the diffusers show and the difference doesn't look that much?

I'm waiting for a reply from lastolite and company I bought from, just thought I'd ask quickly on here if anyone has the same?

Thanks

I can't comment on this particular softbox, but it's normal for the outer diffuser to be quite a bit colder than the inner one.
There are various reasons for this, the different colours (should) balance themselves out and result in a neutral colour, also the outer one, exposed to natural light, tends to yellow over time.

This is normal... the outer being a creamier white prevents a magenta cast.

Just to update, had a response back from and people are correct this is how it should be on this softbox. Fotosense were excellent in chasing up Lastolite for me and really impressed with their speed of customer service :)
