Hi all, have a bit of 'dead space' under the stairs that i am hoping to make better use of. Looking to make use of it for general storage, shoes bags etc.

How best should i box this up in side for shelving storage? It is quite deep (approx 750mm) so perhaps some pull out shelves?
There is a current cupboard in there that holds gas meter, electric fuse panel..
And finally, how should i box the outside so it looks nicely finished? I am guessing two doors will be needed due to the width (approx 1m), and there is also the issue of the bottom stair encroaching on the opening.
Hopefully the pictures will explain all.

To be honest I think enclosing such a space totally is going to looks a "bit of a pigs ear" Perhaps bring the cupboard forward and "box in the are above with similar doors. But it just my opinion based on the photo's supplied.

I have a feeling you may be right. I'm struggling to see how it could be done neatly.

I would just put a shelf in at a height that allows the current rucksacks to fit underneath it. No doors for me.

A client of mine wanted to do much the same thing - he had all sorts of ideas for sliding drawers and clever doors.
I persuaded him to just have a single shelf, as the work involved was fairly major given the amount of space, and he ended up being very glad for the single shelf, which is actually used by the kids, whereas a cupboard may not have been....
