Got that song in my head the other day, so I thought why not see how far Delta 3200 can go?

I currently have in the tank a roll that I started at correct exposure @ 3200 and just kept underexposing one stop at a time throughout the 120 roll with the same photo in the same light. That means that it ends up at like 4 million or something crazy. It's been in with some Rodinal 1:50 for over 24 hours. It's fixing now. Any bets on what'll come out ?:p

Cool experiment.

I'm guessing you'll have a mess - but I'll be delighted when you prove me wrong.

Oh yeah it'll be a total waste of the world's silver resources I have no doubt. Nearly washin' time!

Damn, not what I wanted. Very dense negatives and the faintest slither of an image at 12,800 but that's as far as it went . Seems like Rodinal is no good for Delta 3200. I'll try DDX next time I buy some developer!

shouln't have overexposed it then :D

I read somewhere that Rodinal should be used at 1:100 for this type of developing. If you have anymore 3200 you want to experiment with it would be interesting to see if this gives better results.

So what you are saying is, you ain't seen nothing yet!

According to a Kodak tech pub the highest they've known T-Max 3200 to go was ISO 100,000! If I remember it was in Sweden where police needed to confirm two people meeting together. Obviously for anything that extreme (about a 7 stop push) you would have to be extremely careful, and use an appropriate speed enhancing developer like XTOL or T-Max dev.
