Purely Gadgets: Abysmal Service & Delivery

I thought I would just post a word of warning to other members about an internet company called "purely gadgets".

I purcahsed a manfrotto tripod from them two weeks ago and have still not recieved it. (alltogether the order was £264.35)

I have since researched them on the internet (lots of horror stories about them) and found out that numerous people are still waiting on their goods months after placing the order. They seem neither to be able to get their money back, or, find out where their order is.

Purely gadgets seem to routinely show items as being in stock which are not, and frequently supply grey import goods without manufacturers warranties.

They may be cheap but avoid them like the plague.

Taken from another thread I posted in about them:

I bought a Sigma 24-70 off them and had to return it as it was back focusing badly. They had the lens for over 3mths and endless phone calls and e-mails got me pretty much nowhere. The lens arrived back to me just under 3 and a half months after sending it off, not good for a up to 28days stated in their customer contract, hence that is the last thing I will ever buy from Purely Gadget. Sorry to rant.

I used them once to buy a HP mini-note laptop. They sent one with the wrong operating system. Then, when I sent it back (never got a refund for postage), I waited ages for a replacement which never came. Then waited ages for a refund once I told them I wanted to cancel my order.

Never again. I think they are rubbish.
