I'm helping a friend out in a couple of weeks and doing an event for her. The venue requires Liability cover of £1million but it'll be a one-off for me.

Is there anywhere I can get a one-off police or monthly cover without the annual premium?

Sorry can't help with question but as it's a venue don't they have their own cover?

They do, but they also require liability cover for all persons who are providing a service. I need to show proof of cover as do the band who are playing there.

Speak to a broker, you can get a 1-day cover policy.

Thanks Alastair, I've spoken to a couple of local brokers but they will only quote me annual policies.

With risk of going with EandL for a month, is there any broker which anyone would recommend?

I don't use them for my professional liability (only because that's covered by the offfice) but I do use them for everything else. Very helpful and very competitive. If they can't help, I'm sure they'll be able to better direct you.
