Hi folks

Does anyone know if there is a user changable battery in the pt-04 trigger or do they just pack up? Checked the channel switches are set right but can't get it to fire either of my two receivers.

Thanks
R

I think it its an odd-ball size battery in the trigger. On mine theres a small philips type screw to undo to get at it.

The battery is changeable
23A 12V battery - commonly found in tv remotes

You can get these at Maplins and other electronics stores, as well as some pound shops

Clas Ohlson have the cheapest batteries that I have found so far though. Didn't check for this size when I was there though, but if you ever need CR2032's you can get them for 5 for £4 (Currys and PC World sell them for £3.49 each)

Is the light still coming on? If it is then it may just need a slight "tweak" to get it going again - unscrewing the top and refitting it can sometimes bring them back to life. If that doesn't work then it's time for a new battery...

It is almost always the RECEIVER batteries that go first... and depending on if you have the new model or the old model this will be either AAA's or CR2 which are readily available.

If the test button on the TRANSMITTER does NOT light up the LED on top, then it is most likely the tranmitter battery which is a 12 volt alkaline battery, type L1028 or 23A, of the variety used in smoke detectors and keychain remotes and the like. It’s accessible by removing a small Phillips screw which keeps the halves of the transmitter shell together.

Before replacing the batteries, do as FITP says and take it out and check connections etc.

Hope this helps!!

Thanks guys:thumbs:

Couldn't find a way in to the damn thing until scrapping off the 'QC pass' sticker:lol: Now where's my tiny screwdriver gone
