Not sure if this is possible!!
I started out with a .jpeg and by using layers processed it, but instead of flattening them all I deleted the original layer and went with the edited one (the original had stuff round the edges I did not want!). This changed it to a .PSE file which I want to save as a .jpg but I only have the option of .pse or .pdf
Does anyone know a way or am I doomed forever?

You need to flatten the layer to save as a jpeg, look in the layers menu for flatten, (even though you may only have one layer it's unlocked). Wayne

Thanks, I did flatten it but it still did not give me the option. Looks as if its start again time :'(

change image bit depth to 8 bit - image/mode/8 bits per channel - then re-try saving and .jpg should come up as an option

Thanks, thats already done as well :( I think I have tried everything so it looks like going back to the beginning and starting again. Even google was not my friend on this one!

Don't know if you can do this in PSE. From the top menu bar, select Layer and chose NEW>Background from layer. See if this works. It's not usually a good idea to delete the background layer, Best option is to simply turn it off
