...anyone used/using it? Just downloaded the demo and it seems a bit more convoluted than Reason. Seems a bit like Sonar actually.

Anyway, I've looked at the tutorials on the website but there's no actual spec info about attaching a guitar - all it say is attach one and create a track and you're on your way. Is it one of those jack-to-phono connection into the audio in on my mac?

Anyway, looks like a good piece of kit.... if I can work out how to use it :)

You'd need to connect to your sound card - but whether you should do that directly or via a mixer I don't know. They should combine this with reason into one prog.

Yeah, it's a bit vague - the download section on the prop website doesn't really give you much help. I know a guitar plugged straight into a computer won't create a MIDI signal like a USB keyboard would but I'm thinking that Record is working from audio input to record the signal from a geetar. I've got this adaptor I bought for Garageband that has a guitar lead plug on one end (so the guitar is plugged in) and the other end is a standard jack to go into the audio in port on a computer.

I have a little mackie 4-channel mixer but it's a pain and the whole point of a DAW like record is to do away with that and make it a recording studio 'on-the-move'.

Might have to send an e-mail to Props.....

Record doesn't work with midi though it records audio - for midi you still need reason.

...I know, which is why I'm stuck. I can get Reason to work no probs with my Maudio controller but my electric guitar plugged in doesn't register with record and the help section is pants.

Ooooooh, I hate it when software isn't clear to use :D Might have to wait a few weeks for more Record-related tutorials to emerge on the internet

Mind you, I'm tempted to spend the £360 on the Reason 4 + Record bundle and then I might get a thorough explanation. Shame it doesn't work with Reason 3 though...
