Hi can anyone help?
In our photo club, we recently had a black & white digital competition and on projecting the images through our Canon projector, found all the images had a magenta cast.
The projector and pc are both calibrated, so we can't work out what can be causing the effect. On our pcs and laptops at home, all the images look true black & white.
Does anyone have any ideas?

You don't say how much of a cast - my first thought would be what colour space are they calibrated in. I'd try running a set of white to black images every 10% (loads of sites have these test cards) through both systems to discern if it is the projection system or PC that has the problems. Something like this would do you: http://www.epi-centre.com/testimages/grey5percentsteps6x4in300pp.jpg

Thanks guys, for all your suggestions & replies- we are buying a new cable as a few suggest (DVI-I dual link) as one of our club members admitted to buying a cheap VGA cable for it and neglected to tell the committee! This should improve quality, we hope.
However surprisingly we resolved the magenta issue last thursday, by taking out the graphics card, cleaning the contacts, blowing compessed air into the graphics slot and re-seating carefully.
Result- perfect Black and white and happy club members!
cheers!
