That doesn't mean that it's the only thing that matters, it's basically a mixture of positioning, background choice, emphasis on the benefits, camera height and so on - but the lighting is the one thing that brings it all together and makes even the least interesting of subjects exciting.

I understand that you sell lighting for a living, but that seems to me over lit, or lit with no subtlety.

This was done after the light went outside & no domestic lights were on,just the flash from behind through the softbox & very little PP, i deliberately under exposed a bit just to see the results.![]()
