Hi everyone

I would like to know how photos like this are edited

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3290/3656629596_88808a8daf.jpg

I want to learn how to create photos that would be suited for some kind of fashion editorial. I dont know if that makes sense, basically just how to make skin appear perfect and make the highlights and shadows more defined and less merged or harsh.

If someone called explain what this kind of processing is called and maybe even give a link to some tutorials that would be greatly appreciated.

Im using photoshop CS3

Cheers

Chris

Cheers Jay. I know about make up and lighting, i'm in the process of ordering a softbox for my metz.

I would guess the clarity has been bumped up as well as what Jays said.

Some use denoise software to smooth the skin, like Neat Image. Here its probably a blur technique as the surface is so smooth, but still with a notion of pores.

The best and most flexible, and also time consuming method is to dodge and burn, at various sizes down to pore level. manually changing the contrast.

Here are some posts in my blog about it ...
