Processing for canvas

Is there any particular technique needed? Do you sharpen more or less?

Also can I get away with extrapolating a little larger with canvas than print?

yes and if you print at home you can reduce the dpi to make the image larger too since canvas is a pretty soft print medium you can get away with it.
