Quick question about processing E6 and C41 5x4 film, is there any reason why I can't send my various types of E6 film all together in one box for processing, or do the processors need to know what's in the box? Same for C41 sheets?

All E6 processing will be the same, all C41 processing will be the same. Mixed makes of film in the same box won't be a problem.

Minilabs processing C41 35mm films just clip them all together and run them through as the processing is standardised. It will be the same for large format.

Steve.

I thought as much, thanks.

We prefer you not to mix sheet films in one box but if need be It's ok.

Oops! Too late for this batch but I'll bear it in mind for the next lot.

The E6 film bases are, as indicated in the data sheets, for E6 processing.
How ever, manufacturers, batches, and others may justify tweaks to the
processor to optimize given parameters such as colours, etc. This is due to
specific emulsion qualities, production standards and the inevitable nasty

tolerances.

The same, for the same reasons, will apply to C41.
