Problems with Lencarta!

I don't agree with this. If I'm spending over £500 on some equipment, I want it all or not at all. If I get half of my stuff and have to wait a couple of weeks for the rest of it, I'd rather have paid a bit extra and got everything I needed elsewhere. I'd have been really p'd off if I hadn't been advised of stock issues prior to having my money taken. I think Lencarta should look at this as there's been a couple of very irate customers complaining recently.

However, I've only ever ordered once from them, last week in fact when I bought a background stand. I ordered late on the Monday night and it was with me on the Wednesday morning, no issues at all.

But that isn't what actually happened. If they were out of stock then customers who ordered that day would have known about it before they ordered. What actually happened is that a very large quantity are/should be in the warehouse but the warehouse can't find them, for whatever reason. The first I knew about it was in an email from the warehouse saying that there were 5 remaining orders to go that day for which they could not find the umbrellas - should they send the orders without them or send nothing.
My immediate reply was to send the orders without them and include a note that the umbrella would follow, because my personal reasoning was that most people would not want the delivery of the kit delayed over an umbrella.

Whether my decision was right or not can be argued, but I had to make a decision there and then, and that is the decision I made - it was too late in the day to get hold of the individual customers, ask them for instructions and still get the despatches done that day. All that I can do in this situation is to ask myself "If I was the customer, what would I want the Company to do" and my choice would be "It's better to have 10 of the 11 items than none"

Of the 5 people involved, 4 are still friends with me and one has posted about that terrible firm Lencarta and that terrible man Garry Edwards, both on this forum and elsewhere.

I'd just like to point out that Garry Edwards advertises here for Photolearn, NOT lencarta.
Lencarta do not pay to advertise on here. We allow Garry to reply on behalf of Lencarta as Lencarta have a right to reply.

Im still confused here.

If Gary is not on here on behalf of Lencarta then he should not be championing their cause.
If Lencarta want a right to reply then they can sign up.
And from what i have read in Gary's posts he sounds like the MD of Lencarta.
So why dont we just let Lencarta answer any Lencarta Issues. Seems the easiest solution to me.
Also Gary seems to answer a lot of calls for Lencarta considering he is not being paid, advertising, championing their cause or whatever.

Im sure there was an old proverb that went along the lines of "you only have to look to see"

Craig,

I've already covered this in detail. If you don't believe what I say, what Marcel says and what the Companies House website says then I don't think that there is anything else to say.
And I don't think that there's any point in me saying anything else on this thread either, I have already said all that there is to say.

a lot of people in this thread seem to be making personal attacks, and that's completely shocking to me as a newcomer to this forum. it seems that a lot of long standing members are getting a dig in too which is appalling !

i guess some people haven't heard of companies outsourcing customer support and supply chain in different countries...

Then please don't ever run a warehouse! This order(s) were missing an umbrella- which yes could have been very annoying, but least they provided the other parts of the order. Anyhow- you obviously think differently from me, so lets just leave it there :)

I don't know what's so difficult to understand. He's already said he's contracted to them and one of the services he provides is customer service. This falls under that remit, hence he replies

Is it just me who thinks that this thread is now going round in circles?

nope, the OP looks like he's gone, it seems the issue has been resolved, mind the doors :)

Just a note. I did not say Garry is not the MD of Lencarta, I didn't say he is. I have no idea what role he plays in Lencarta, and to be honest, I personally couldn't care less.

I replied to the statement that someone made connecting his advertiser status on here with Lencarta which was incorrect.

If he is chosen or chooses to be the person who gives Lencarta a right to reply, then so be it. If he is the only person in Lencarta and is doing it from a back cubby hole in his attic, then so be it. That doesn't change the fact, we have to give Lencarta a right to reply, Garry Edwards is by his own admission officially tied into Lencarta.

Therefore our obligation is done.

This thread was closed because the OP has disappeared after coming here to spread his tale of woe, therefore the thread has become off topic and redundant.
If anyone wants to start a thread about Lencarta and generically discuss their business model then feel free.
If it stays on topic, and *doesn't* end up going round in circles, creating a bad atmosphere between members like this one then it won't get closed :)
