problems with CS3 "save as"

whether its coincidence or not, ever since i installed LR2 on the same machine as CS3, the "save as" file options on CS3 is extremely limited not allowing me to save as JPEG amongst others. the CR2 files have been processed through LR2 then saved as TIFFs. when i take the TIFF into CS3 it is then when I cant save as JPEG?

when exporting from LR to CS4 it imports images as 16 bit TIFF files - you will have to change it to 8 bit like the others have suggested :) took me a min to figure that out to when I first installed LR.
 
You have the choice - you can send images to PS as either 8 or 16 bit tiff files. You can change back to 8 bit is PS before saving - but why not just SAVE in PS and the file will come back into LR2 - and you can export it from there as a jpeg - or anything else.
 
ah that will be it then, when i processed the DNGs through CS3 the TIFF settings were 8bit, just hadnt occoured to me to change the TIFF default settings on LR2!
