I have two Lencarta studio heads, and in the couple or three years I've had them, they haven't missed a beat.
My studio is small and I have to be inventive
, so around Xmas time I bought some wall mounted boom arms...which are great!
However, because the lights are hanging at odd angles and are reasonably heavy, (combined with beauty dish/softbox etc.), I've been tightening them harder and harder on to the spigot thingy on the boom.
Anyway, the plastic sleeve/screw has twisted off from the casing of the heads, making it impossible to attach to the boom.
*I think I should point out about now, this is pilot error and no way a fault with the build of the lights*
I can't really see Superglue cutting it, so I was wondering if anyone has had this problem, or has any ideas?
I'm loathed to bin the lights!
Thanks.
