Problem with Lcd tv

Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and if it's a cheap fix :- when I first turn it on the screen freezes then turns black . After around 5-10 minutes it comes back on like its had to warm up ? I don't really want to have to buy a new one , but I think that it's on the way out .

Can't be of help directly but I can recommend asking over at the AV Forums. Try to include the model number and as much detail of the problem as possible.

Hi John, it might well be the Digital board that has gone pear shaped :shrug: What is the make and model of the TV. A lot of the components nowadays are readily available and not that expensive to sort out compared to buying a new TV. FlatTvParts is quite good for spares. Obviously once you have tried to ascertain what the problem is then you might find it easier to just get a quote for repair.
