Problem with Auto-Focus on Canon 450D

Hi all,

The AF recently stopped working on my Canon 450D, it's not working on both lenses I have so it's not the lens, it'll also work if I select A-Dep mode, but not in AV or TV (which I almost always use)

I'd appreciate it if anyone might have an idea what's gone wrong!

you could try factory resetting the camera to see if that helps
it seems strange AF works in one mode but not others the only thing that would stop AF working is the AF / M switch in the lens
can't really think of any in camera settings that would stop it working
