Hi guys,

I have just purchased a pair of Plus IIIe's and I am struggling to get them to work in the way I need them to. I would like to use one connected to a Sony A9II to trigger the shutter in continuous burst mode, but I can only get it to fire one shot at a time. I have the unit on the camera connected via a 13369-S cable and configured for HSR mode on channel 1. I have the other unit in my hand set to Tx Only also on channel 1 obviously. I have also tried one unit in Tx Only and one in Rx Only with the same results.

If I press and hold the test button on the unit directly attached to the camera it works as intended and fires a continuous burst, just not when I do it from the remote unit. Help!

Hi Mark - I'm not a PW user, but I have seen this behavior with other radio trigger systems. It sounds like the trigger (the one in your hand) is sending a discrete pulse. I had a quick look though the specs and the only thing I could find that mentioned burst mode was this:-

High Speed Receive
Normally, the Plus III is capable of triggering lights or cameras at a sustained rate of up to 12 frames per second (FPS), a standard for PocketWizard radios. Set the Plus III to High Speed Receive Mode (HSR) and trigger at rates up to 14.5 FPS, beyond the capability of most of today's cameras. This mode can also help high FPS triggering compatibility for any flash.

Your A9II is capable of up to 20 fps in certain conditions so might be worth a try.
