Hi all,

I'm looking to get a new set of studio flashes, 2 or 3 heads.
Over here all our main suppliers push Bron's or Elinchrom but hardly any offer Bowens. Either that or there are super-cheap solutions that people are pushing. I really do need something robust though, with good service and support.

Are there Bowen's users here? and your findings?

I'm doing this full time so the lights do get a bit of a pounding. Lots of location work too so portability is vital.

I'm even looking at some static light options too, technology has moved on leaps and bounds with cool and accurate lighting.

So..
Any experiences are welcome.

Cheers,
Rob.

Hi Rob, I'm not pro but the studio I use has Bowens and I LOVE THEM :)

For portability it really has to be Bowens or ProPhoto, neither of which is cheap but if you plan on giving them a hammering, that's the best there is IMHO.

I think Broncolor and Profoto are good choices, I used both before.

Just checked out your deviantart stuff Chris, blooming marvelous, if I may say so :)
