Prints: numbered or not

I'm looking to sell some prints through a couple of galleries, and I was wondering whether I should number them or not. You know the sort of thing: 1/100

If I don't number them, then they will sell for less. If I do number them, they would sell for more, but of course I could only sell 100 of them...............

I've seen numbered prints for sale at £150 or more, un-numbered prints for a lot less.

What would you do?

What would you rather have continual income at lower price or higher for limited period.

If you are going to do a limited print do it at a size you do not usually sell, i.e Large canvas or print .... but leave you normal print size for unlimited sales.

Why bother restricting your repeat sales of a good image. Just make sure the limited run is know to be for that size only.
