Hi All,

I'm looking into getting some of my photos printed into a poster format. So the sizes will be around A1/A2 size (not sure what that is in cm or inches).

Can you suggest any good websites that can do this?

Also, as long as I make sure the ratios are the correct sizes, they will print out okay?

Lastly, should I keep the borders and copyright notices on the images and print straight to poster... Or would you take the border off..?

Any other tips on preparing to send photos to the printers would be appreciated :)

Thanks!
Amnesia

There was a review of companies which print larger images in Septembers edition of Digital Photo. Peak Imaging came first followed by One Vision Imaging.

Maybe worth checking those two out...

Just Farrow & Ball on my wall at the moment. Will be checking out these links soon as I was going to ask about bigger sizes. Thanks!

I've always used Peak-Imaging for my larger prints or larger orders of prints.

You get a calibration print with your first order (or you can request one). You then compare the printed version with the one on their web site and tweak your monitor to suit. It's crude but effective.

Alternatively there are colour profiles kicking about the net for their small format printers.

Thanks for the replies everyone, Do you leave your borders and copyright on? or take it off?

Thanks :)

Oh... and last couple of things.

Would you save it as a.jpg to send to the printers?!

I've sent the image size as 3504x2336 but it wants to resize it too 3303x2336 - but this will squeeze it out of shape. Should I crop it? Or resize it to fit into 3303 (which will come out at 3303x2202)

Thanks,
Amnesia
