All the devices in the house connect wirelessly with the router and the printer is also wireless enabled.

We haven't printed from all the devices but from those that we have(2 PCs and a tablet) it work perfectly, but our daughter's laptop does not.

When she sends something to the printer, it appears in the print queue and then prints perfectly. However, after the printing is completed the document remains in the print queue and this stops anything else she wants to print.

It is as if one part of the system it trying to print the document a second time but another part 'knows' it has already been printed so the printing doesn't go ahead and the document remains stuck in the queue, blocking anything else she might want to print.

We can find plenty online about how to clear a document from the print queue but that is not the problem. The problem is stopping this from happening in the first place.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

I experienced that on one PC. The only solution that I found was to delete the printer on the “problem” PC, and then reinstall it…

It could be a driver problem. If the affected laptop is using the drivers supplied by the OS, it would be worth installing the latest ones from the printer manufacturer.

That's what our daughter has to do every time, just trying to find a permanent solution.

Never thought about drivers. Thanks will give it a try.
